The Swivelwheel-ECO is an economy model single wheel transport system designed to transport small light weight (up to 500 Lbs) items behind most towing vehicles including those with Class-I and Class-II receiver hitches. These items may be anything from lawn equipment, luggage, camping equipment, motor scooters, generators, etc. The system has a 500 pound load capacity. Like all Swivelwheel products, the Swivelwheel-ECO is shipped with a 360 degree swivel Torsion Axle Suspension.
The standard level deck height is 23" with the standard 4.80 x 8", 6-Ply, C-Rated Highway Speed Trailer Tire. There is an optional 5.70 x 8", D-Rated, 8-Ply tire available. This optional tire will raise the deck height slightly.
Be advised, that most standard trailer tires are rated for 65 mph. This includes most tires on travel trailers, fifth wheel travel trailers, cargo trailers, etc. We know that you see people traveling down the highway at 75 & 80 mph with their trailers. These people are at a higher risk of trailer damage, or injury to themselves and others in the event of a tire failure. The tires used on all Swivelwheel systems are rated at 65 mph. Traveling at higher speeds increases the risk of tire failure due to increased internal pressure and heat build up. Always keep the tires inflated as described on the tire. Low tire pressures will create more internal heat in the tire and could result in tire failure. This is true for all tires. The Swivelwheel tires are high pressure tires and incorporate a high pressure steel valve stem. If replacing the tire and wheel assembly, make sure that the valve stem are a steel high pressure stem and not a rubber valve stem.
